🍤 Jumbo Shrimp Sautéed in Garlic & Brandy

A bold, aromatic seafood dish where jumbo shrimp are quickly seared in garlic-infused butter and oil, then flambéed with brandy for depth and richness. Served with lemon wedges for a bright finish.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 24 jumbo shrimp, shells intact
  • 6 tablespoons brandy
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lemon, quartered

Instructions

    Heat the pan: In a large, heavy-bottomed skillet, melt butter with oil over medium heat.

    Bloom the garlic: Add crushed garlic and sauté for 10 seconds until fragrant.

    Cook the shrimp: Add shrimp and increase heat to high. Cook for 5–6 minutes, shaking the pan constantly, until shrimp are pink and just cooked through.

    Finish with brandy: Add brandy, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to coat and cook for 1 minute more.

    Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
