🍕 Gorgonzola Pizza with Garlic, Olives & Oregano
A rustic, skillet‑baked pizza topped with creamy Gorgonzola, garlic, and black olives. Simple, bold flavors make this a perfect dish for cheese lovers.
Ingredients
- •1½ cups self‑rising flour
- •1 teaspoon baking powder
- •½ teaspoon salt
- •1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano (divided)
- •12 pitted black olives, thinly sliced
- •5 tablespoons olive oil (divided)
- •3 tablespoons water
- •4 cloves garlic, minced
- •½ pound Gorgonzola cheese, cubed
- •Small pinch of freshly ground black pepper

Prepare dough: Sift flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl. Stir in half the oregano and the sliced olives. Make a well in the center, add 3 tablespoons olive oil and the water, and mix into a soft dough. Roll out to fit a 9‑inch ovenproof skillet.

Cook base: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in the skillet. Cook the dough over medium‑low heat for about 4 minutes, until the base is golden. Transfer to a baking sheet.

Flip & cook: Add the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet. Slide the dough back in, uncooked side down, and cook for another 4–5 minutes.

Top pizza: Sprinkle garlic and Gorgonzola cubes evenly over the dough. Cook until the bottom is golden, then transfer under the broiler until the cheese is bubbling.
