Tender turkey breasts brushed with a sweet-savory glaze of honey, mustard, garlic, and basil — broiled to golden perfection. A refined, flavor-packed dish that's quick enough for weeknights and elegant enough for guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 half turkey breasts (about 6 oz each), skinned and boned
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
  • 3 tablespoons torn fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Golden-brown turkey breasts glazed with honey and mustard, garnished with fresh basil leaves and garlic

Instructions

  1. 1

Butterfly the turkey: Slice each turkey breast horizontally about three-quarters of the way through. Open like a book and place between two sheets of wax paper. Pound gently with a meat mallet to ½-inch thickness.

  2. 2

Make the glaze: In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, honey, mustard, basil, tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  3. 3

Coat the turkey: Spread the glaze evenly over both sides of the turkey breasts.

  4. 4

Broil: Place the turkey on lightly oiled foil under a hot broiler. Cook for 4 minutes per side, basting occasionally with pan juices, until golden and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Serve hot.

Yield: Serves 4
